TORONTO, ON – May 9, 2018 – Today, Audiotree North, the new partnership between Paquin Entertainment and Chicago-based Audiotree, reveals their video from L.A.-based alt-folk trio, Magic Giant. Premiering today on Noisey, the live performance of Set On Fire was filmed at Longboat Hall in Toronto and is the sixth video from Audiotree North’s pilot sessions. Watch and share the video here.

Magic Giant has been moving bodies and souls across North America, building a reputation for their infectious singalongs and live experiences. Their breakout song, Set on Fire, has eclipsed 3 million Spotify streams to date. "This session was the morning after WayHome Music Festival and we were very much in the half-asleep dreamy state that a festival hangover can bring,” says Magic Giant lead vocalist, Austin Bisnow. “It was dark and moody with the summer creeping in through the old windows of the warehouse, which was a perfect fit for the songs and the feeling of the day. Set on Fire is about letting go of the angst of arguments and realizing it doesn’t matter who’s to blame, we’re in this together."

Audiotree North will mark their launch with an official showcase at Canadian Music Week this Friday, May 11 at the Horseshoe Tavern, featuring performances from Ought, Casper Skulls, Begonia, Pkew Pkew Pkew, and PONY. In addition to the showcase, Audiotree North is partnering with the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) to present a pre-event celebration, open exclusively to conference delegates. Attendees will also have an opportunity to meet members of Audiotree, Audiotree North and TCS.

Since Audiotree began in 2011, the multimedia company has filmed and recorded over 3,000 artists, including Shakey Graves, Glass Animals, Julien Baker, Arkells and The Sheepdogs. In addition to the Far Out live video sessions, Audiotree also films studio sessions and live performances at one of their Chicago venues: Lincoln Hall and Schubas. Audiotree currently boasts over 330k YouTube subscribers from around the world, who’ve watched more than 500 million minutes of content.

Audiotree North, like its original counterpart, Chicago-based Audiotree, proudly supports independent artists, and is a multi-faceted artist discovery platform through unparalleled live performance formats. As part of the launch, the team filmed live music videos with six artists in Toronto for their pilot sessions;  PUP, Lido Pimienta, Begonia, PONY, Casper Skulls, and Magic Giant. More performances will be filmed throughout the year in Toronto featuring Canadian and international artists, all of whom will be carefully curated by the Audiotree and Audiotree North team.
