DAYSORMAY RELEASE MUSIC VIDEO FOR DESOLATION SOUND
TALK PEACE TO A WOLF AVAILABLE EVERYWHERE NOW CATCH THEM ON TOUR IN A COUNTRY NEAR YOU Toronto, ON – April 9, 2018 – Today, Vernon, BC alternative five-piece, daysormay, shares the music video for Desolation Sound – the fifth and final companion video for their EP, Talk Peace To A Wolf. Premiering on Live In Limbo, the video explores the deeper and darker concepts within the final track from the record. Have a look here, and catch the band on tour; including Western Canadian dates (with SC Mira), England’s The Great Escape Festival, in The Netherlands at Hengelo’s BAM! Festival, Germany and later this summer with Cold War Kids and SKOOKUM Festival in Vancouver. The video, conceptualized by daysormay, was shot, directed and edited by lead singer, Aidan Andrews, and febnuki (daysormay’s video team). Shot over three days in the middle of the Okanagan winter, Desolation Sound gives the viewer a look into the frustration and conflict that is so central to Talk Peace To A Wolf. The video, which features lead actor, Jamie Andrews, also pulls off an impressive water sequence, shot in the freezing 4°C waters of Okanagan Lake. "The original plan was to shoot in late summer, but after running into some logistical roadblocks, we had to push the shoot dates back to December,” Andrews explains. “The original treatment involved all these water sequences that required Jamie to be fully submerged. I still really wanted to shoot those, but I was worried it would be too cold for him to do. We left it up to him, and he was so into it that we went ahead and got everything we needed in one take. Those are my favourite scenes." This is not the first time the band has self-produced their own videos, with the music video for Darkerside being directed and filmed by bassist, Nolan Bassett, and their // 2017 webisode series, which was produced entirely by daysormay and febnuki. If you had the unicorn opportunity to see daysormay perform when they started back six years ago, you would have known even then that they weren’t just fooling around. Now 18 and 19 years old, the alternative five-piece band from Vernon, BC continues to amaze with their epic sounds and impressive songwriting chops. Unsatisfied to churn out simple three-minute rock standards, they continue to challenge their craft by hiking to new songwriting heights and attacking each new live show with a relentless energy of a band on the verge. Lead singer, Aidan Andrews, formed the band in 2010 with the twin brother rhythm section of Nolan and Carson Bassett. Rounding out the line-up are Eli Garlick on guitar and Craig Matterson on keyboards. All of them multi-instrumentalists, daysormay have been stunning audiences from their hometown, to some serious name-drop worthy shows in LA, NY, Toronto and The Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, Germany. Talk Peace To A Wolf is available now on Apple Music, Google Play and Spotify.
