Toronto, ON – April 24, 2020 – Today, rising genre-disrupting multi-hyphenate artist, Lonr., releases his highly-anticipated debut EP, Land of Nothing Real. Get it here via Epic Records.

The seven-track project includes collaborations with H.E.R. and 24kGoldn, and finds the budding star coming completely into his own. A self-titled affair (Lonr. = Land of Nothing Real), the GRAMMY® Award-winning singer, rapper, songwriter and producer expertly weaves together introspective ruminations on songs like Make The Most, featuring H.E.R., Time and Jump, next to turn-up refuge anthems on songs like Lit, featuring 24kGoldn, and his break-out single, A.M. All of this is delivered with a singular style, entrancing vocals, and soul-baring lyricism.

Released earlier this month, lead single Make the Most, featuring H.E.R., has received a wave of acclaim and attention. The FADER dubbed the song and video “beautifully sad”, while Ones to Watch called it “dreamlike”. HotNewHipHop proclaimed, “once again, Lonr. proves his ability to develop a catchy hook,” while Variance Magazine called it “a shimmering delight” and The Wild Honey Pie said that “there's an earnestness in Lonr.'s lyrics and affectation that make him a natural…” Watch the official music video here.

Additionally, the song is Lonr.’s fastest-rising yet, with over 1.5 million streams to-date. It has appeared in over 32 New Music Friday playlists globally, and has been included in additional playlists such as Apple Music’s Mood., Breaking R&B and Brown Sugar, along with Spotify’s R&B Slow Jams, Mellow Bars and B.A.E. The song also recently officially impacted at Urban AC radio.

Make the Most follows previous singles, A.M. and Safe Zone, which were released at the end of 2019. A.M. sparked the “A.M. Challenge”, which saw the track hit the top 5 on the Spotify Viral Chart and accumulated over 2 million user-generated videos on TikTok, including clips from names like Kendall Jenner and Charli D’Amelio. With that, Lonr. now amasses over 1 million listeners per month on Spotify and has accumulated close to 36 million streams across all platforms, world-wide.

Celebrating the release of the EP, Lonr. is set to go live across a number of platforms. He kicked things off this morning, joining Audiomack for an #OpenForum EP listening event, followed by an exclusive performance on MTV’s #ALONETOGETHER Live Jam Session at 7:00 p.m. ET (@MTV). He will follow this with performances on YouTube Music’s #STAYHOME Livestream on April 27 at 4:00 p.m. ET (Lonr.’s official YouTube channel), VEVO At Home on April 28 at 4:00 p.m. ET (@VEVO), and BET’s 106 & PARK Couchside Concerts on April 29 at 4:00 p.m. ET (@BET). About Lonr.:
Emerging from under a quiet shroud of mystery, Lonr. arrives as a singular and cinematic talent whose vital and vibrant vision piques fascination as it blurs the lines between soul, soundtracks, and simmering Hip-Hop. After being uprooted from Los Angeles as a child and moving to Cape Cod, MA, Lonr. grew up feeling like the odd one out. Upon installing music software in high school, he entrenched himself in beat-making, creating his own universe to exist in. Inspired by the likes of Pharrell, OutKast, and Tyler, The Creator as well as film scores for Star Wars, Interstellar, and The Pursuit of Happyness, he developed his production chops and songwriting talents through countless hours by himself in front of the computer. On his way up, he became a sought-after songwriter, crafting hits and building worlds alongside other artists. By 2019, he found himself up for multiple GRAMMY® Awards for contributions to H.E.R.’s discography, winning two. At the same time, he began to quietly assemble what would become Lonr.’s own project, Land of Nothing Real.

“I always zone out and go into my own little world,” Lonr. explains. “That’s the Land of Nothing Real. If you don’t like where you are, you can escape into another realm. This project is really about love, longing, and desire. Those topics are always on people’s minds. I’m examining them with melodic and dreamy songs.”

Capturing palpable and relatable emotion, Lonr. might just make you feel a little less alone: “I want listeners to feel like this is something new,” he says. “Most of all, I hope they resonate with me and feel like they’re being heard and not so alone in this world.”
