JESSE COOK TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM BEYOND BORDERS ON SEPTEMBER 15

FIRST SINGLE DOUBLE DUTCH OUT NOW

ON TOUR ACROSS CANADA IN THE FALL

Toronto, ON – August 8, 2017 – JUNO Award-winning Canadian guitarist, composer, and producer Jesse Cook shares the first single of his upcoming album, Beyond Borders, set for release on September 15. The album is available for pre-order now, with an instant download of the first single, Double Dutch, and listeners can get a sneak peek at the album at the teaser video here. In anticipation of the new album’s release, Cook will be embarking on a wide-reaching Canadian and United States tour (details listed below).

Following the critical and commercial success of his last album, One World, Jesse Cook is ready to launch his new album, Beyond Borders.  This is the most sonically diverse and distinctive disc in Cook’s vast and varied catalogue.  This catalogue has earned him 11 JUNO nominations and one JUNO win in the Best Instrumental Album category for 2000’s Free Fall.  Beyond Borders is an in depth musical journey exploring the exotic boundaries of world music.

There are many borders in our lives. Some are built by others, some we create for ourselves. Whenever I have ventured beyond the borders in my life, I have been the better for it,” says Cook. Beauty, humanity, artistry, joy, wisdom, and of course love…these things don’t stop at some line on a page. If music is the universal language, maybe there is something it can teach us?”
