Toronto, ON – February 27, 2019 – Hot off a sold-out show at the magnificent Koerner Hall, Lemon Bucket Orkestra will be kicking off another busy international touring season with a celebratory show on Friday, April 5^th at The Opera House in Toronto - one of the band’s favourite venues to play anywhere in the world. Later in the month, they will return to the US for an eight-city tour, stretching from Lafayette, LA, to Pittsburgh PA - their second major US tour in the last eight months. Then, after a handful of Canadian summer festival plays, they head back to Europe in late July for three weeks of club and festival dates, anchored by their much-anticipated debut at the UK’s legendary WOMAD Festival. 

Fall 2019 will see the band going back the studio to record a new album, so, all in all it’s shaping up to be another action-packed season for the notorious party punk collective.

Joining the Lemons is the inimitable Iraqi/Canadian singer and activist, Ahmed Moneka, and his Moneka Arabic Jazz project, and to help kick things up a notch on the dance floor even further, rising ethno-bass duo, Balaklava Blues will also throw down a short set. Balaklava Blues is a new project from the Lemon Bucket’s own Mark and Marichka Marczyk, who are currently holding down a weekly residency in London UK, at the esteemed Vault Festival – playing every weekend through to the middle of March. At the Opera House the couple will be celebrating the recent worldwide release of Balaklava Blues debut album, Fly, on Six Degrees Records.

It’s sure to be another over the top and eclectic night of entertainment, just like you’ve come to expect from the House of Lemon. So mark your calendars, and tell all your friends. It’s going to be another night to remember!
