TOUR KICKS OFF NOVEMBER 12

“There is a good-natured authenticity in their stories that grounds them even as the instrumentation often lifts the sound to more fantastical realms.” - Belleville Intelligencer

"With this exquisite and refreshing blend of melodies and lyrics, they explore the at times tiring and weary nature of life and remind us to be strong and ready to keep on going for it’s all there for the taking, but we must push on.” - Wolf In A Suit

TORONTO, ON – November 10, 2021 - Long Range Hustle, Toronto five-piece indie-rock outfit, release their new single today, Love Yourself. The track is stock full of classic Long Range Hustle sounds, that fans have come to know and love: Wurlizter chords, accompanied by the fuzz of an old tube, sparse guitars, moving percussion, and emotional lyrics that take off over a roiling sea of jarring chords and massive drums. Listen to Love Yourself here and watch the music video here.

“The song was born in the depths of self-doubt and despair. I came home alone again on Christmas. It’s the time of year when you get to see all the people that you love and share in a celebration of life. But when you’re coming home alone, it seems to amplify the emptiness. The holes where it feels like something is missing grow deeper and more poignant. It feels like everyone else is whole and happy and warm but you,” says the band’s, Jay Foster, on the single.

Love Yourself is the latest single from the band’s forthcoming record, I am alive, but only if you say I am (due out late February 2022), which was produced by Tony Doogan (Hey Rosetta!, Wintersleep) virtually from Scotland. Other singles Comeback Kid, American CashWait Up For Me, Beeswax, and Used To Call will also appear on the band’s upcoming album and received play on CBC shows, Here & Now, Fresh Air, In The Key of C, and All In A Day, while also being featured on Ones to Watch with Sirius XM The Verge, in addition to play on SiriusXM's North Americana program.

Long Range Hustle have also received editorial playlist support from: Rockin’ Vibes, Folk Rock Favourites, Rock Your Block, Fresh Finds: Rock, Ready To Rock, New Music Friday Canada. As well, they'e been featured on Amazon’s Music Canada’s Finely Tuned and YouTube Music’s New CanRock and Contemporaries.

Adds Jay on the new single: It felt like I had a choice to make: either give up or figure out a way to love yourself. There’s no one left to do it for you. It starts as a low key ballad before splashing water on your face with a key change meant to wake you up and appreciate the fact that you’re breathing, the earth is spinning & life is beautiful.”
