ON FEBRUARY 24th 

Toronto, ON – February 15, 2017 – Toronto indie-pop outfit, Only Yours, is thrilled to share their brand new track, Living In The Moment (Pirates Blend). The band premiered the song today, which will be officially available on Friday, February 24th. In celebration of the release, Only Yours will be performing live at The Drake that evening (show details can be found below).

“When we first went into the studio to record our self-titled EP we wanted to make it sound really smooth and warm,” comments frontman, Lowell Sostomi. “With Living In The Moment, we tried to do something a little different; capturing the excitement of the song with crispier production, harder hitting sounds and a more energetic performance.  We are constantly striving to explore new ways of arranging and producing our songs, while maintaining a cohesive vibe.”

Led by songwriter, Lowell Sostomi, Only Yours was originally conceived as an avenue for Sostomi and Kyle Watt to explore their interest in more experimental electronic music following the dissolution of an earlier project, but over time was reshaped as Sostomi’s songwriting instinct came to the fore. As the band evolved Sostomi and Watt recruited bassist Devon Henderson and drummer Shaun Hogan to forge a sound at once anthemic and introspective – informed by an attention to textural detail born from their early experimentations, but rooted in Sostomi’s traditional songwriting sensibilities without being too tightly tethered to the past. Their self-titled EP was released on October 14, 2016 (via Pirates Blend).  Stay tuned for more from Only Yours in 2017!
