Toronto, ON – May 24, 2019 – Montreal experimental pop record label, Lisbon Lux Records, is bringing some of their finest along with them to NXNE this year! On June 13^th, electro-pop musician, Radiant Baby, innovative PEI artist, Russell Louder, and French pop trio, Paupière, will take to the stage at Rivoli.

“This is Lisbon Lux’s first time at NXNE and we are thrilled to be showcasing some of the amazing artists on our roster,” comments Lisbon Lux Records Co-Founder, Julien Manaud. “We’re excited to be giving a space where the queer community is welcome, and for open-minded people to come together to enjoy a night of dancy and intelligent music!”

Felix Mongeon, aka Radiant Baby, has been making a name for himself in the Montreal music scene for the last two years. Since his early beginnings, his rich and festive electro-pop productions have won over fans and media alike. Following his flamboyant debut EP, It’s My Party, in 2017, Radiant Baby starts afresh with his first full length, Restless, which was released in February 2019. Merging crisp electronic sounds with raw IRL instrumentation, he conveys a more mature and dynamic aesthetic with the new record. He has shared the stage with world-renowned artists, such as Peaches, Kali Uchis, Róisín Murphy, and Yelle. He has also played at POP Montreal, M for Montreal, Canadian Music Week, Fashion & Design Festival and Piknic Électronik.

Russell Louder is a trans musician, producer, performance artist, curator, party-thrower and ring-leader based in Charlottetown, PEI. Their experimental electronic dance pop explores the ever-evolving internal landscape of identity, grief and romance. Their performance and curatorial work explores joy and celebration as sites of queer community, resistance and survival. Russell was recently a finalist in CBC Music’s 2019 Searchlight competition, and earlier this year, took home a Music PEI award for Electronic Single Recording of the Year for their track, Showdown. Russell’s latest release, Light Of The Moon, follows their previous single, Cost Of Living – both of which are a sample of what the multifaceted musician and producer has been working on.

Paupière is a glamorous and flamboyant young trio from Montreal, dripping with underground sensuality. Their new album, entirely in French, is filled with those little bittersweet tunes you just can't get out of your head; sensitive writing harnessed to serve the melody – as found on their single, Défunte Lune de Miel. A raw kind of poetry fitting in somewhere between Montreal's current psychedelic scene, and the French pop sound of the 1980s. Pop at once naïve and profound, lighthearted and powerful. The band is currently working on new music and will release their new track, Twisted Mind, on June 7^th.
