TENNYSON KING RELEASES NEW SINGLE SHARE THIS MOMENT
SHARES TRACK LIST FOR GOOD COMPANY ALBUM DUE OUT JANUARY 21, 2022
Toronto, ON – November 5, 2021 – Today, nomadic indie-folk musician, Tennyson King, releases his latest single, Share This Moment. The track comes from his forthcoming album, Good Company (due out January 21, 2022), and explores the shared experiences of travelling and exploring with another person, and human nature and connection at its most organic and vulnerable. “I started writing this song on 9 Mile Beach in Forster, NSW, Australia. It is a beautiful long beach, not one person in sight, sunny, waves creeping up on the shore toward’s my feet, and I was thinking back on the places I’ve travelled and was going to travel to that year,” says Tennyson on the track. “And as much as I love travelling alone, there is some magic in sharing moments with others. I started playing the chord progression on my little travel acoustic guitar I keep in Australia, it was really out of tune, but I just found the chords that worked off that tuning, started playing and began to find a nice melody to what would become the verse of this song.”
Adds Tennyson, “Over the next year and a bit, I continued to write lyrics to this song during my travels throughout Thailand, China, and Vietnam. I didn’t write much more melodies but just different lyrical ideas of how to tell this story.”
Share This Moment will appear on Tennyson’s upcoming album, Good Company, along with his previous singles: Life On Shore (Carry Me Away) – which comes from a state of interconnectedness with nature and water, and Slow Down – an elemental and earthy take on acknowledging our surroundings and appreciating nature.
On Good Company, Tennyson adds: “I decided on the name idea/name of Good Company because I want the songs to be good company to the listeners. I want it to be something that they can put on and feel like they have a friend telling them stories, letting them know they are not alone, sharing my life with them and personally singing songs to them.”

Tennyson was selected to participate in the 2020 Canadian Songwriter Challenge to work with Terra Lightfoot, Adrian X (Drake, The Weeknd), and Moe Berg (Pursuit of Happiness). In May 2021, Tennyson released his first Chinese language single, 生命的进度, in support of Asian Heritage Month and to represent a voice for Asian artists in Canada. Followed up by 自在 in June, these two songs garnered recognition by Mandarin, Cantonese, and English press alike, as Tennyson received airtime and was featured for an interview in Cantonese on Toronto’s prestigious Chinese-Canadian radio station, Fairchild Radio 1430.
