Toronto, ON – July 22, 2020 – Today, Toronto-via-Montreal artist, Aiza, turns up the heat with her new single, Sizzlin’.The catchy, trap-pop bop is her fourth release of the year; a midsummer track following Show Up, which was dubbed SOCAN’s Song of the Week in late June. These 2020 releases follow a highly successful 2019, during which Aiza was declared the winner of the prestigious Allan Slaight JUNO Master Class in autumn.
Listen to Sizzlin’ here.

"Sizzlin' is the perfect summer bop. It's all about telling it like it is. Playing humble is cute and all, but sometimes you just need to say it loud and clear: I'm the bomb,” Aiza says.

Aiza wrote Sizzlin’ last summer in the midst of frequent travel between Toronto and Los Angeles, combining work for an upcoming acting role with songwriting sessions. Sizzlin’ sees platinum-certified producer, Mario Marchetti, at the production helm, with notable credits including co-writing Demi Lovato's Billboard Top 10 hit, Neon Lights. The song came together in just a few hours, as Aiza was tapped into a super playful side of herself, and the phrases kept flowing. Sizzlin’ is also featured in the July 27th episode of VH1's To Catch a Beautician, hosted by Tamar Braxton.

Aiza began 2019 with a performance at the 7th annual She Rocks Awards in California, accompanied by music heavyweights, Divinity Roxx (Beyoncé’s former musical director and bassist) and Kat Dyson (former guitarist in Prince's New Power Generation). She subsequently returned to Canada to receive the award for “Francophone Artist of the Year” at the 3rd  annual Dynasty Gala Awards in Montreal.

Alongside her blossoming music career, Aiza is a seasoned actor and can be seen on Season 4 of CBC's hit sitcom, Workin' Moms, as well as on Netflix's upcoming original superhero series, Jupiter's Legacy.

In autumn 2019 Aiza was declared winner of the prestigious Allan Slaight JUNO Master Class, and earlier in the year she won “Francophone Artist of the Year” at the 3rd annual Dynasty Gala Awards, in large part due to the critical success of her debut EP, Adieu.
