FORMER BAND OF HORSES GUITARIST AND SONGWRITER RELEASES 2ND TRACK FROM HIS HIGHLY ANTICIPATED
SOLO ALBUM FOR THE MORNING DUE APRIL 5

FEATURED ON NPR MUSIC’S LIST OF
 CAN’T MISS SXSW SHOWS

Toronto, ON – March 8, 2019 – Today, Billboard premieres Firewood, a haunting, evocative new track from Tyler Ramsey’s highly anticipated upcoming solo album, For The Morning out April 5th on Fantasy Records. Of the track, Billboard says, "Firewood – with its ringing acoustic guitars, spare arrangement and elegiac melody - shows off the spirit of musical adventure.” Listen to Firewood and read the interview here. Ramsey, the former guitarist and co-writer of the acclaimed indie outfit Band of Horses, previously shared the album’s gorgeous first track, A Dream of Home.  Pre-order For The Morning here and watch the album trailer here.

Ramsey is getting ready to make several high-profile appearances next week during the SXSW Festival in Austin, TX.  The sets include his official showcase Tuesday, March 12th at The Continental Club, the Fantasy/Rounder Records Day Party at Lucy’s Fried Chicken Revival on Wednesday, March 13th and a special performance at Willie Nelson’s Luck Reunion in Spicewood, TX on Thursday, March 14th. See full itinerary below. This week, among thousands of SXSW entries, NPR Music chose Ramsey as one of their can’t miss acts, read about it here, The Austin 100 .

Following SXSW, Ramsey and his top-flight band will hit the road for headlining dates throughout the South and East Coast and additional solo dates with Strand of Oaks before heading to the UK and Europe. For tickets and more information please visit www.tylerramsey.com. Just recently, he finished a run of uniquely intimate and collaborative shows throughout the Midwest with My Morning Jacket’s Carl Broemel. Watch Ramsey and Broemel perform A Dream of Home from their Paste Magazine/Daytrotter session here.

For The Morning, Tyler Ramsey’s exquisite new album, was inspired by the lush, deep green and stunning landscape of his home in the mountains outside of Asheville, N.C.  Using his inventive, dexterous fret work, radiant acoustic piano; affecting pedal steel and disarming vocals, Ramsey threads rock, country and folk into a rich, new branch of American music all his own.
