Toronto, ON – July 20, 2018 – Acclaimed rock singer-songwriter, Van William, releases the cathartic and imagery rich new song, When They Burn, today. This track was inspired by the unique, true story of Comanche chief, Quanah Parker, whose Anglo-American mother was captured and later adopted by the Comanche people in the mid-19th century. “I became obsessed with their story and couldn't get it out of my head, so I wrote a song,” explains Van. “I usually write more personal songs, so this was a really interesting challenge for my brain.” When They Burn also marks the first new music from Van since the release of his critically acclaimed album, Countries, and is the first of three new songs slated for release later this summer and early fall. Most recently, Van announced his first headlining tour which kicks off on September 10th in Atlanta, GA, and wraps at The Bootleg Theatre in Los Angeles, CA, on October 11th — full routing below and tickets are on sale now.
