Toronto, ON – July 19, 2018 – Wild Rivers
– the finest purveyors of “Folk ‘n Roll and Country Soul” - are releasing an official video for I Won’t Be Back, a highlight from their recently released Eighty-Eight EP. The video, debuting exclusively via PopMatters, follows the group in a Bohemian bonfire atmosphere, staying true to the band’s 1970s influences.

I Won’t Be Back is an optimistic breakup anthem that showcases Wild Rivers’ blending of storytelling and melodies. When talking about the story behind the lyrics, the band clarifies that the track “is about coming to terms with a finished relationship, and the mixed feelings that can come with that. We wanted the tone of the video to capture both sides, the sadness over lost love as well as the celebration of a fresh start.”

Along with the release of the Eighty-Eight EP, the band is also gearing up for a scattering of US tour dates, including stops in New York, Los Angeles and Denver, plus some of the country’s best folk festivals, see below for dates and details!

Wild Rivers is composed of Khalid Yassein (vocals, guitar), Devan Glover (vocals), Ben Labenski (drums) and Andrew Oliver (guitar, bass). Over three years, the Toronto-based band has accrued more than 30 million streams on Spotify, toured consistently across the U.S. and Canada, and earned a reputation as a band that makes a powerful connection with listeners. Coming from all different musical backgrounds, all four members find inspiration in iconic pop artists of the 1970s, from Fleetwood Mac to James Taylor to Neil Young, and manage to blend their hallmark storytelling styles with a modern approach to melody.
